Friends,
We had a family trip to NYC!
While were in New York City the protests that we witnessed in Times Square twice felt so intense, sad, and unpredictable to us.
We looked in the eyes of the protesters and thanked them for bringing attention and compassion to racism in our country.
We thanked the police force walking alongside them, even as they are being protested against, they are doing their brave and scary job
now and everyday.
Then we tucked ourselves into our hotel early and curled up and talked about
how we can bring peace.
For Goodness sakes stop fighting with your sister!
now and everyday.

We did get comfortable and saw so many of the sights to see!
We met my friend Gordon for brunch.
Gordon and I haven't seen each other for 10 years.
It was like no time had passed,
except my kids got older.
There Gordon and I were acting out our own musical, like we always did,
as Charlotte was petting his head.
He fit in perfectly with us,
and it was a beautiful reunion.
A view above the concrete jungle.
Wall Street.
The Brooklyn Bridge.
City view from the boat.
Lady Liberty.
Our photographer.
9/11 Memorial.
This memorial was more moving to us all than I ever expected it to be.
My kids weren't even born on 9/11.
Its a history lesson for them.
And still.
It was very still here.
We shed tears.
You could honestly feel something in the air.
Sadness and grief.
And hope and patriotism.
Everything we did in NYC was hustle and bustle
and loud and exciting,
except for this.
This was just incredibly silent and still.
And meaningful.
Freedom Tower.
Ice cream in a park.
Everyday.
Something about the cherry dip
there is better than anywhere else.
Tourist Fail.
Stuck on top of a double decker bus in traffic,
and rain for 2 hours.
Not happy about this.
New York Times
Home of Cake Boss
John's Brick Oven Pizza in an old cathedral.
The Sugar Factory.
Were celebrities and The Lowe's
pay $22 for a lollipop.
Carnegie Deli!
A line down the street to get in,
and pastrami as high as the buildings when you get in, plus pickles for a starter.
YUM!
The Lowe Lady Rockettes
at Radio City Music Hall
Rockefeller Plaza
St. Patrick's Cathedral
A prayer for Grandma Busha
All these studios and we haven't been
discovered yet!
We're like a best kept secret!
The Ball!
The Naked Cowboy.
Lots of culture here, kids!
I loved all the old architecture!
Guggenheim Museum.
We didn't have time to go in,
but wow it looked amazing on the outside!
m&m world for Grandma Lowe.
Matilda the Musical,
on Broadway!
We loved it!
Central Park.
School of Rock on Broadway,
while Dad was working.
We loved this one too!
Look at Charlotte in her bedazzled,
NYC hat, bought right on the streets!
