The LOVE! (repeat)

D is a major amusement park fan.

Because of this, he is a bit of a cheapskate

(forgive me)

when it comes to carnival rides.

So the tickets and how we use them is very important.

We use them wisely. Bank for our buck!

And as you can imagine Lily loves the fastest, biggest, most dangerous rides of all.
So we put both kids on the Dragon Coaster.

Charlotte immediatly cried and they were nice enough to stop the ride and put her safely back into my arms.

(To the ooohs and awwwws of all parents around= such nice people.)

Therefore, for the first time ever, the kids split up for a ride.
D and I stopped in between and there was Charlotte on a little motorcycle

ALL BY HERSELF!

So proud and brave!

And next to it, was the littlest rider of Lily on the Tilt-A-Whirl,

spinning herself faster than the teenagers next to her.

So there stood D and I,

waving "yea Charlotte, Hi Charlotte!" as she passed

and then turning around to hoot out

"Faster Lily, Faster!" as she spun about.

And it was a most perfect parent moment.

And I think my Father (in law) said it best the other weekend, when he shared

that we have such wonderful and different kids.

And says "one you have to pull back without squashing her spirit, and the other you have to push forward while respecting her boundaries."
