Nanna came to visit after her trip from China bringing us a tea party, chopsticks, and stories. How grateful we are for the souveniors, but mostly for our worldy Nanna who always comes back to visit us. Any of you who are lucky enough to adore your mother and adore your daughters and witness them together and even better to be sandwiched in the middle of this love are the luckiest people on earth. This is how it is for me. It is just wonderful to be a bystander watching Nanna teach, nurture, and love my children as she has done for me. These moments are my most sacred times. I get goosebumps and shivers and giggles listening to their voices making my every day home very much ALIVE with music and pretending and all the good stuff dreams are made of. Some people say little girls are full of sugar and spice and everything nice, which is true. And its also true for our Nanna, once a little girl herself. She is still full of everything nice. And we love her! Oh and its also true that the tea was a bit spicy for Lil who filled each glass with loads of honey and brown sugar. How sweet it is!
