Friends,
Another successful block party has concluded.
We had all the usual entertainment,
with a few new additions.
We invited Natalie to join us and spend the night.
And we had a pig roast!
It was delicious!
Neighbors are so super important.
They are in the community that helps
raise our kids,
and support our insanity while doing it.
I am so lucky to have such close relationships
with so many in my hood.
When we got together at a restaurant patio,
overlooking a fountain on a beautiful
summer night, sipping our wine,
I looked around at the faces
and felt so grateful
that even though, I was far from Lodi,
and even farther from my parents in Colorado,
I felt so close to home.
