Costa Rica Sunset Cruise

Friends,
We quickly got into our groove at the resort.

Someone reserve the best seats for us...

Everyone look up for monkey's on your way to breakfast...
Order an iced latte, because they don't have cream...
The sausage tastes weird, get fruit and green juice instead...
 Stay in the shade. Always...
Look out...they will come at you...
As much as we wanted to just let it be,
we were quickly ready to get out and do something, so we booked a sunset snorkel cruise.

The local fishermen,
took us out on a raft to get to our boat.
There were no life jackets.
This had me nervous!

We snorkeled in the middle of the ocean
with noodles only to keep us afloat.

Needless to say, I didn't last long and headed back to the boat.

I enjoyed the cruise much more than the snorkel.

They caught us a puffer fish, which was the coolest thing to see.

 We were promised cocktails,
and once everyone was safe from the snorkeling,
Cathie, Julie and I were ready for a drink.

Apparently,
this was not actually in the works for us,
so the locals had to call the boss and ask us to keep quiet about it.

We heard him on the phone saying
"the gringas want cervazas!"

This has us laughing pretty hard,
and within 15 minutes we had ice cold beers in our hands.

And then we watched the most unforgettable sunset of my life.

D was a little seasick so I stayed with him.
It was like magic to just sit still and hold hands
and be.
We were in awe of every move the sun made
on its way down.

Each moment more beautiful than the one before.
Truly a once in a lifetime experience
for us all!
