My Kinda Town

Hi Friends!

Our friends, The Schneiders came to visit.

Papa Schneider was our wedding musician and Darin's college roommate. 

You may recall how we reconnected at the

Badger Tailgate.

It was a wonderful reunion.

And the kids got along perfectly.

Adults too!

 

The best part was we got to play tourists in Chicago with them.

We went to the Shedd Aquarium.
And watched otters do the unmentionable.

 

 

 

 

 

Then we left the boys, Darin, John and Isaac,

so us girls could go to The American Girl Store,

for Layla's birthday.

Lily's doll got her hair done at the Salon.
And her ears pierced.

The stylist reported that she didn't even cry!

 

We had the best time ever.

Then we joined the boys, where they landed.

At a bar.

Yes we did.

In the afternoon, with American Girl bags

and small children.

We are so bold.

It was D's birthday after all, so I was happy he got to spend it with good friends.

And when we got home, he shared it with a new little friend.
