We went back in time.
To celebrate the last of Darin's college roommate's weddings,
Congrats Andy and Carolyn!
It was an 8 hour drive to Cable WI (just north of Canada, haha).
Luckily one of Darin's roommates is a rockstar
(John Schneider of Baghdad Scuba Review, everybody)!
The band loaned us their conversion van to travel in.
8 hours in a conversion van with longtime friends and no kids is an absolute blast!
Road trip old school style!
Once we arrived we were delighted with the beauty of Northern Wisconsin, our cabin retreat, and a reunion with the Groom!
Ok, not ALL. But don't get me started on the unsuccessful detour to kidnap the missing roommate, which included borrowing golf carts to meet him at hole 7 in the middle of a family bachelor party...
(Andy's brother is also in a band, Eddie Mac, everybody).
A band that played at all D's college house parties. The house parties that turned into a Midwestern Music Festival (Farmapalooza everybody!)
Many wedding guests took turns on stage.
We were surrounded by stars, as you can tell.
Included the kind in the sky...D and I kept stepping outside to awe at the beautiful sky and on separate occasions we each witnessed a shooting star! Aww!

Lake Namakagon
The Nest (and the wheels)

North Woods

The next morning we all wished we had our kids with us.
And another day to play.
