Friends,
We have too much stuff.
My kids have everything they want.
I am partly to blame.
I want to give them everything,
I never had.
Sometimes I think
I am raising spoiled and ungrateful people,
who don't know the value
of earning, or giving.
I am so wrong with these thoughts.
Lily saved all her money for a whole year.
She had an idea of how to spend it.
She asked me to take them downtown
and bought Charlotte
an American Girl Doll for her birthday,
spending every last penny.
Gladly.
I don't know who was happier about it,
Lily or Charlotte, or Me.
