Lily can read and it delights me.
Shel Silverstein is her favorite author.
She puts herself to bed reading his poems.
Junie B. Jones, Ramona Quimby and
The Magic Treehouse Series are also at the top of her list.
And we are starting Little House in the Big Woods, since seeing Laura Ingalls Wilder on Dancing with the Stars.
I love to read.
So I am thrilled that Lily is enjoying reading as a hobby, and not a necessary homework assignment.
As you can see, it is impossible for Lily to read,
without also acting.
And she takes it upon herself to change, improve
and embellish the story.
She has been working on reading with expression.
I think she is does a marvelous job at the expression part, even with a bit of nerves due to the phone video camera in her face.
